Choosing Arbor Size and Flange Setup for Diamond Saw Blades

A diamond blade only cuts true when arbor size, flanges, and mounting torque match the saw design.

Incorrect arbor adapters and undersized flanges are a common cause of vibration, crooked cuts, and early segment loss. Before mounting any diamond saw blade, confirm bore size, flange diameter, and the machine RPM limit.

Mounting Rules That Protect the Blade

  • Match arbor bore exactly; use only approved reducing rings
  • Use clean, flat flanges that cover enough of the core
  • Tighten to the saw maker torque spec — do not overtighten
  • Spin-test before the first cut and recheck after the first few meters

Protec Tools can supply common arbor options and private-label cores for OEM saw packages. If you are importing machines into a new market, send us your arbor drawing so blades arrive ready to mount.
