- Read the saw no-load spindle RPM from the nameplate or manual
- Confirm the blade max RPM is equal to or higher than that spindle speed
- Check arbor size and flange diameter against the blade bore and manufacturer flange guidance
- For wet saws, verify water is reaching both sides of the blade before loading the cut
