Asphalt and Abrasive Mixes
Asphalt and green concrete are abrasive. They erode a hard bond slowly and expose diamond poorly. Softer bonds renew grit and keep cutting aggressive.
Hard Cured Concrete
Hard, low-abrasion concrete needs a harder bond so diamonds stay proud long enough to fracture the aggregate. Too soft and segments disappear before the pour is done.
- Label blades by substrate, not only diameter.
- Retire glazed blades or dress them—do not force feed.
- Keep water on deep cured cuts unless dry-rated.
- Track metres per blade by mix design when possible.
